i also just started a online business and the best place to start is finding your niche, i use the google keyword tool and find keywords with exact match, then i try and find the domain that is the exact match. From there, your traffic will come as long as you got some good content and backlinks. You can then decide how to monetise that traffic. I had a good friend help me, he is an expert in making cash and starting businesses online. @OP. Hello , Online money making is a vast industry. It is filled with all ups and downs. You first need to know your strength and your limitations. Then as per that , you need to plan well about the whole thing. Actually, no one can help you in this because we never know what resources you have and what kind of expertise you have and what you can actually do or not. So just try to do some extra efforts. You can just enter into any specific field then all here can help you. But you always have to make efforts to start from zero. Have a great time.

$8 for a domain name and about $5 per month for decent shared hosting. If you can spend that much, you can start just about anything. A wordpress blog, phpbb forum etc etc. Just need to think of something you'd like to do.
