Can i use a CMS like subdreamer or Joomla to start a article directory or a specialized script like echoarticles.com or articledashboard.com these are the scripts i found. Is there any other script whick is free or paid must be search engine friendly.

If your directory is going to have all new articles that are user submitted or you put them in yourself (withouht automated spidering) then I suggest you use Joomla!/Mambo with the openSEF component (or the paid SEFAdvance component)

Personally I like Joomla (or the older Mambo). Use OpenSEF and for article submissions, Phil-a-Form from Phil Taylor works very well.

Take a look at www.chancetolearn.com for an example of Joomla as an article directory script in action.
