    Sherlock Holmes for me was the best action movie of 2009. It having another combination of drama and thriller in it too. It was nominated for Oscar twice and won another 5 prizes due to its best casting. I would like to watch this movie again and again.

    Well, I see why people chose Avatar for the best action movie of 2009. But, I don't really think Avatar can be classified as an action movie. But, I will definitely have to nominate The Hurt Locker - even though it was released in 2008, it never really gained popularity until 2009.
