Which is SEO friendly - Joomla/Drupal or Wordpress?

I'm a layman as far as SEO is concerned.

I'm planning to create a site on literature. Want to provide essays, critiques etc about it on writers and literary topics.

I'm confused as to whether I should use Joomla or Wordpress. I cant afford the time and money to go for a full-fledged custom designed site. (Maybe when my site reaches well, I can think about that).

So, I would like to know which is better of the two - Joomla or Wordpress?

By the way, can keyword and meta tags be added in Joomla or Wordpress?

    Do help me out guys!

Used all of it on different sites, all are SEO friendly but among the three wordpress is the most Search Engine friendly, if you know the tricks on SEO your site will get to the top faster than the other two CMS.

    cheers,

what you can do with WP can all be done with Joomla and then some. Joomla has lot of advanced features and has lot better CMS than wordpress. its just that there is a learning curve for Joomla as most are used to wordpress so much. which one is best actually will depend on your site need tho. but here is a link where you can find some features and comparison for both

There you have it. Wordpress wins hands down!

Just make sure you get all the helpful SEO related plugins:

    All in one SEO Pack
    SEO Post Teaser
    XML Sitemap Creator
    etc.

The plugins are easy to install and use.

    Good luck :)

My vote is for wordpress since it is much easier to use than joomla, though joomla is an excellent cms.

Thank you very much for all your suggestions.
    yes, Wordpress wins!

But, one question, if I start with Wordpress and then upgrade it to Joomla, will that be a very tedious process?

Are these plugins really helpful? Will not be considered some spam or something by SEs?
