I have recently been looking at SEO and as far as I can tell this can be split into 2 distinct types: On page seo such as meta tags, meta descriptions, relevant content for your keywords and keyword density etc. or Off page seo i.e. link building Bing and Yahoo seem to give a lot more consideration to the on page seo than Google. My question is how much credit does google give to the on page seo?
All of us don't know on how much google gives credit on on-page but I'm sure it's pretty reasonable for us to focus also in on-page optimization.
I just attended a 1.5 hour webinar yesterday from a very well known SEO company and yes no-one knows for sure what Google are after but they gave figures which tend to make sense. 20-30% on page SEO will help your rankings and 70-80% off page will help your rankings. Essentially you want to set a solid foundation with your meta-tags and do that right once and just forget about it, then concentrate on off page SEO.
As per my point of view, both are in there position best. On page shows the meta keywords, title tag and robots file etc. whereas off page shows link building, article submission, video conferencing etc.
Google cares a lot about onpage seo because I added a h1 tag with my keywords and I moved up a few spots. Offpage SEO involves more work.
Consider the fact that "content is the king" but off-page submission has this effect to put yourself on the high-end result for all search engine. Both of them are beneficial that a lot of businesses including e-commerce website do consider full SEO for a site coz' it's a tandem of on page content and a quality and high demand backlink, that's the ingredients of a popular website.
You really need both, on-site SEO will help determine the keywords of the site and for what terms it will rank, while off-site SEO will determine mostly how well it will rank (and sometimes keywords as well due to anchor text).
Well i think on page optimization and off page optimization both are equally important to each other.AS they may not be linked in a direct form but indirectly they are related to each other. The proper working of on page only affects to off page work and leads to good rankings.
Hello friend No one know google's algorithm, if know then we can easily rank our keywords in search engines. We have to do proper on page optimization and work for backlinks.
To get better page rank and back links we should concentrate on both on-page and off page Optimization. Regards shravan kumar
