no question...football is the most popular game played game all over the world as compare to cricket...there r 32 teams which are qualified for worldcup,,,and in cricket only 11 teams....so there is no dought that football is most earnest sport as compare to cricket.

 

Very few nations play cricket but most of all the countries play football and they h ave more money in football

 

It depends on the sport popularity. Football is popular throughout the world. Even Asians love soccer while Cricket is not as much popular as football, for the same reason ICC (International Cricket Council) was thinking to arrange one World Cup in USA in order to increase the popularity.

Cricket is popular in mostly third world countries (although some first world countries also have major Cricket teams) where we do have a large fan numbers but less profit overall. In contrast, football is popular in Europe, USA, etc ... So, obviously Footballers make more money than cricketers.

According to me football is more money earner sport than cricket. But in Asia particularly in india and pakistan, cricket is more money earner than football. But broadly speaking, football has more fans in europe, africa, north america and south america. So football is more money earner in these continents.

Football is surely the highest revenue generator for its players... closely followed by golf and tennis! Cricket does rank well too... but falls way short of the earnings of the footballers.
