Which is more important: content or links?

Personally I think they are both vitally important, I tend to think of them as content being the products in a store, and links directing customers to your store, no point having a store with no customers and vice versa

 

I think both are very important.

 

If you want to optimise a site in a proper manner then Link and content both are important .

 

Don't think you can have one without the other.

 

Ofc they are both important but for there was always Quality over Quantity so I always focused on delivering unique and helpful content.

 

Content linked by quality and natural links.

 

I think "quality of links" are more important than "quality of content".And low quality does not count...

 

For me both are important, if you will use link in fresh and quality content then Google include the page in SERP. Thats why I suggest all to use links in contextual format.

 

Content definately, seo just drives it home.

Content is more important for sites because if you have a good & quality content than you will have quality link automatically.so they both are interrelated to each other but when it comes to comparison in between these two content is more important than the links.

Quality links are depend on quality and original contents. So if your contents are original and good then you can get the good links.

 

Content with ethical and white hat process is important.
CONTENT is always king but the link strategies are also a part of it.
If your content is best but link strategies are not good then seo is worth.

 

I've just been told that it's important to get people to stay on your page for a good amount of time so I would assume content is most important. Ever since I added a video to my micro niche finder page I've been climbing the rankings.

 

Content and links both are very very improtant for any website -

Content should be unique, Quality, Informative
Link should be Quality, High PR, Authority site

 

In my point of view content is most important because without good content your site will not get quality links. links are also important but unique and regularly updated content is most important.

 

Both are important, but now a days due to panda update the content importance increased. But in content one thing is also include if you have a good keyword rich content and you promote your web page in a ethical way, then you can easily generate a good quality back links.

 

Both are equally important as long as you maintain the quality of both the things. Both the things/ activity complement each other.

 

They are both important in their own right.

If you don't have content, how do you expect to get backlinks?

Backlinks will obviously get you the positions and if you don't have positions you wont get traffic, making the content moot.
