Which is more EFFECTIVE??

Hi Guys,

Please tell me which optimization is more effective and long lasting..
Your options are :-
1) On site Optimization..
2) Off site Optimization..

I will be thank full to all if you pass Your comment on this..

Both are equally important in the long run. You need to combine both, only using one of the two does not allow your website's maximum potential to be tapped...

 

Both are important, but there is only so much you can do on page or on site as you put it. In my opinion, off page or off site is more effective because you can do so much more of it. But both are important.

 

One without each other is equal to zero

 

The relation between the two makes a very strong bond. Consider it this way, If you perform 100% offpage optimization, the site will not do any better .. BUT if the effort is combined with On-page stuff it will do real good..

The best off-page thing: Links

Without any of it, its not possible to outperform.. Said that, domain age does play a role with those factors.

Work on both, 60% off-page, 40% on-page, (hypothetical figures) On-page stuff is mostly one time, once set, only requires content rotation/changes..

Links building is a evergoing task, So now you can imagine the combined power of so called "Content" and "Links" and hence, off-page and on-page.

On site Optimization is kinda like a base. this should be done first before going to the next process which is the off site Optimization..

 

From my point of view - On Site optimization is more effective and beneficial for new sites with little bit of Off Site optimization. Yes for the older sites (having good on site optimization) Off Site optimization will help a lot.

 

On-page and off-page optimization are both important in SEO field..You can't just ignore any of the two because they really goes hand-in-hand

 

IMO the two has a impact to each other.. good on page.. easy for off page.. good off page.. better output..

 

actually neither of the two you have mentioned is greater than the otehr in seo they come hand in hand...

 

both are important but you must site with "On site Optimization" and finish "Off site Optimization"

IMO offpage is the most effective methods for getting higher rank. for example you must have probably heard about adobe is ranked first for keyword "click here" yet the phrase is not on adobe page. so that tell you something.

we also heard keyword density is not that important like it used to be. theme and relevancy has taking the order now. so what you do is just gather some keyword phrase you want to target then make good content out of that page, content that would be enjoyed by your visitor.

when you have done that then just start focus on offpage or link building. make new page so that search engine would crawl once a while. if they see your page don't change for 1 month then they would only crawl your page only after 1 month. if then your page has not change for 2 month then they would only crawl after 2 month. the frequent the spider crawl the better.

 

Both are creating important role in increasing website traffic but the thing is you have do on page optimization first after that u will be able to do off page optimization for your website.

 

ya i think u said right that offpage is the most effective methods for getting higher rank but i m suffering due to that only in Google in one of my main site..I had done somr dir sub. in good quantity in one k/w and now in that k/w the site is completely gone in google now..
What to do now

I think only content and Anchor text is important. Rest everything depends on how well is your offpage.

IMO, by doing only offpage you can still achieve good rankings but by doing only onpage you can never achieve desired rankings..

Both onpage optimization and off page optimization important and its depend on site which one it most preferable. If your site new then first onpage optimization and second priority to offpage optimization. Because off page optimization is on going process. In onpage if you done once than no need to working on frequently. If domain and site old than after analysis we can judge which one preferable onsite or offsite.

in the begining, do on-page OPT, and then concentrate more on off-page OPT
