which is more effective to imrpove the website rank in google?

hi we all know forum posting with signature anchor text to link to our site is a good way to improve the pr value in google.but i am wondering which is more effective to link with the home page or the other internal page of the site.

 

hi mate good question, i am in the same boat, i have been doing some backlinking but i don't know if that is more effective way to get traffic

 

I think it's very effective to perform basic SEO techniques like social bookmarking, article submission, blog commenting and forum posting.

 

Many people link to the homepage or main page more often. If you can get your homepage to score some google pr it should eventually flow out to other pages on your site. If there is some page in particular you want to rank better than by all means go for it. You can mix it up with a combination of homepage and inner page backlinks at various sites and methods like social bookmarking, blog commenting, etc. If you belong to more than 1 forum you could link to your homepage with some keyword or phrase, and at another forum link to your inner page with a different keyword or phrase.

 

it depends on the relatedness between the index and inner pages, if you are index page having a keyword of watch movies online, get backlinks from related keyword and link it but if you have keyword on your index like watch trailer online, maybe you should find related inner pages for your keyword.

 

I also have google indexing problem for my website...

I have abc.com I have done free directory submission, bookmarkings, link exchange, updating meta tags & article submissions too. but my website still not indexed in Google.

Any suggestions friends????

 

You can make back links from relevant sites/blogs.

I do agree with you.I think rank the keywords with different webpages of the site is better.I will have a try.

 

according to site explorer at yahoo my website has 45 links but when i type link:mydomain.com i get nothing, Google supposed to show me how many back link i have, when I type site:mydomain.com i get 2 pages of my website articles, is this means my website is getting indexed

 

Usually getting backlink from home page of websites is better than getting backlinks from internal pages on it. But it depends on the amount of indexed pages on that website too. For example some quality websites have thousands of indexed pages on Google and as this website is quality, getting thousands of backlinks from this website, can help you a lot (if your website is not new)

homepage link is better. Link in the content (in the sentence and link on keywords) is the best

 

basically it depends on your landing page suppose you have a site abc.com and you want to get ranked from inner page abc.com/a.html then do link building for inner page

I think it should have a example with how many backlinks we should keep link with home page or inner pages.Thus, it is better.don't you think it?

 

Mix it up and make it look natural. I will usually do a 60% of my links to homepage and then the remaining 40% to inner pages spread all over the place.

 

Home page link is the most important when it comes to the backlink and it carry the highest weight in the eye of Google.

If I am reading this right...and if not H*rvard is really going to be upset at with reading comprehension...you are asking if its better to place links to your homepage or your internal pages.

If thats the case I would say internal pages. One raising your internal pages will increase your homepages ranks and two it looks more natural to receive backlinks all over your site instead of just one page (the homepage) getting all the accolade.
