Which is more effective - Forum posting or Blog posting/ commenting?

I don't know if this will help you out or not. But as a frequent visitor to many blog sites, I do not find any enjoyment in reading comments left by others on the blog. But, for some reason, the opposite is true when it comes to forums.

So, as far as getting noticed by visitors on a blog, maybe not so good, unless it's the main article. But, probably getting linked in seo will work out okay.

I think blog comments are effective for the SEO more than human curiosity. But forums seem to gather a great deal of human interest. Don't know if you agree with that, it's just my own preference (from the "visitor" point of view).

 

Forum posting would be the easiest to build and quicker but blogs would be slightly more effective because of the content and variation.
But yeah you should use both.

 

Use both. But of I had to choose , I would choose blogging.

yes thats true if you blend your techniques in all aspects for getting links that will help you certainly....

 

If you can find the same amount of relevant forums that are do follow as blogs, Then forums. But then again they aren't different things. Blogs and forums are both websites. if you get your link on them, Theres no difference.

I choose 3. Both

You'll find it much easier though if you find a few niche forums and get involved with them. Alot less tedious

 

I think that they're both good but if i had to choose one, it would be forum posting because not all blogs will give you a link, but if you're part of a good forum, you always get a link for your posts. Some blogs block links through "no follow" tags.

 

When it comes to link building I don't think any one method should be used but rather a combination of as many methods as you can

 

I vote blog posting. Of course, your posts should be content-rich blog posts and not just single sentence comments on random blogs.

 

Forum posting because you can use your keyword on your signature.

 

Both of them could increase your backlinks,but i prefer forum post.

Blog posting for me, post to your blog frequently and google will love you. Also blog commenting is a great way to build backlinks just make sure the blog is do follow
