Which is content managment is best?

I need a content management script for my website but I'm not sure where to start. First, I don't want to have to completely redesign my site, I just want there to be a simple easy way to post a list of links with descriptions, and photos into the template I already have designed. As far as I know that will not be possible to use CMS for just a list. I would suggest a redesign...its worth the time to use a CMS

 

Joomla.

I highly recommend it, and it suits your purpose.

 

I love Drupal.

 

From what I saw of your site, SNews appears to do what you are looking for.

 

Joomla is probably the best out there. But you need to spend time learning how to tweak it, to suit your needs.

Joomla is nice though it is somewhat complicated for newbies

 

Joomla is a great CMS system but not a good start for newbies.

 

I found Joomla to be excellent and relatively easy to setup (depending on your host provider), but beware, if you are not tech savy and want 3rd party add-ons etc, expect to spend quite some time on their forums. You will, however, come out with a top notch CMS for $0.

Drupal is better than Joomla in my opinion.

You can create customized lists of pages (nodes) with the views module.

 

Don't forget that Joomla has a large resource of modules and components - easy to install too

 

Guys when you talk of Joomla not good for a newbie, are you referring to newbie in general or newbie to CMS's?

 

This remains a big debate. It depends on which side you're listening to.

If natural search traffic is important to you, Drupal should be number one choice, followed by Wordpress.

 

I like Drupal better than Joomla. I installed both and ended up going with Drupal. Try them both and set up a couple of pages, then decide what you like best.

 

I would go for Drupal too, it really is a matter of opinion, but I've found Drupal works better for customizing and is pretty secure.

 

Ours of cause is the best but if you are wanting free & open source then dot net nuke isnt bad
