I am building Amazon links at my site about notebooks now and I am wondering which is better - links to point to product at my aStrore or links to point to product at Amazon site with my aff code in the URL? I think that second variant is better because it looks more authoritative, and it is most likely the visitors will buy something from Amazon site than a small aStore site. EDIT: I mean this or this:
i would tend to use www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000LO8ZPM/YourAffiliateID or www.amazon.com/dp/B000LO8ZPM/?tag=YourAffiliateID Code (markup): vagrant
It's what i use. just replace B000LO8ZPM with the products 10 digit ASIN number. The top version is Amazons older way of doing things, with the bottom one the new recommended way, however i find when they have any tracking problems the old way tends to be more reliable. As someone else pointed out in another post, the older way also also gives the user a bookmarkable link.
for me, 2 kinds of link refer different purposes. I make a link to aStore when I want to give users more product details. And make a product link to Amazon.com to offer users for purchasing that product.
I think link to astore is good for seo.but, link to amazon is good for sale, when your customer looking another product in amazon.com
I would agree, I make links to Amazon on my posts. Sometimes I point to my astore to answer a question for SEO.
