Which is better ?

    Which linking method is best among this :

    - Directories
    - Social Bookmarking
    - Forum Links
    - Blog Comments

    All with dofollow.

    I'd say social bookmarking.

    Directories don't carry as much weight as they did before;
    Forum Links tend to be the same anchor text which becomes a problem;
    Blog Comments are a single link at a time;
    But social bookmarking is viral, so if 10 friends vote for your story it's 10 backlinks plus backlinks from all the relevant categories and tags

    Because directories are very late to give u link back, but social book marking are give you good traffic on your site.

    Each particular has its own advantage. So we can't ignore any one. Try to get links from all the particulars.

    I had same experience with directories. I have spent so much time submitting to directories with out any good returns.

    i think all of them is good , if they dont have nofollow. you will need every type of the backlinks

    Even I agree that currently directory links aren't being valued as highly as they were in the past by Google. I had one of my new sites submitted to over 200 directories nearly 5 months back and am yet to any significant results as a result of the backlinks. IMHO, Google is discounting directory links and they aren't as important as they were in the past.

    Personally, I'd rather have forum links, because they also bring direct traffic. If I was dealing only with SEO though, I would probably say directory links or social bookmarking.

    Forum Links and Blog Comments depends on how big the site is. Directories are almost useless in my opinion. Unless it is one that only links to high PR sites.

    Directories are important for backlinks
    But Social Bookmarking/Blogging with RSS feeds is the fastest way to tell the world about your website

    Most of them went to "nofollow" - at least here in germany. Most of them are completly useless now
