Which Is Better?

I have decided I am going to write some articles to make a passive income every month.

I am thinking of either... Using a site like http://www.infobarrel.com/ or http://www.xomba.com/

    OR

Creating my own mini niche site and trying to earn some income from that.

The pros of using one of the above sites are that promotion is less as the sites are already established. I would get some backlinks to the articles through various means, but I wouldn't have to worry about my site being sandboxed or my google ranking or anything.

The nice thing about making my own site is that I control Adsense placement and have the opportunity to use other means of monetization. Plus I am not sharing any revenue.

What do you guys think? Has anybody has a good amount of success creating a passive income stream using niche sites, or sites like Helium, Triond, Info Barrel or Xomba??

It always comes down to how you can generate targeted traffic.

If you can then do your own thing, if you can't then piggyback the traffic of another site.

It also comes down to what your putting in front of that traffic and how your doing it.

It's always a good attitude to have your own niche sites. In that way , you're in control of it. The bottom line is after having the sites, how will you generate traffic and look after your list ?

You could always join a company online or freelance.

I guess it would be better to start your own niche site. It would take time and effort to establish yourself but it in the end it would be worth your patience.
