    any hosting can do that.
    :)

but it would be better if u buy a VPS and host the website urself, at least u do not need to worry about ur account get suspended for overuse the server resources
    :)

VPS is something like the whole dedicated server, but the difference is, it is actually a dedicated server slice to a few portion, and a VPS u buy is 1 of the portion.

it will work exactly like a dedicated server and u will have ur own a server admin access.

VPS is a piece of the server completely reserved to you. You have your own OS and control panel done the way you want it. It is not recommended unless you have some experience playing with linux. You can get managed VPS but it's going to cost you so your best bet would be stick with shared until you feel comfortable learning a whole new world.

Is the website is static page or user generated content?
If static webpage then, normal shared hosting will do such as HG.

Really you could go with VPS 'cause you will get complete control with a nice solution to make you feel like dedicated server without using cost of a dedicated one. Hence, whatever your neighbors have going on, it won't affect the performance of your personal hosting environment. And that could be the main causes why one should go with VPS solutions...

5000 daily traffic, it sounds like you may need a vps to start with if they are dynamic content, what type of content are you hosting?

Why is everyone suggesting a vps

If you have to ask, then you shouldn't get one (unless it's fully managed - which is $$$).

I believe a lot od web hosting companies will be able to meet your requirements. But what about space? can you tell more about web applications you are running there?

With such a traffic you are better to get VDS or at least hosting which clearly states bandwidth limitations. Though I use shared hosting plan at HostGator for website with higher load and its ok.

5K daily is heavy traffic, if you want to try at any shared host below its ok, but just choosing monthly payment first (or better if any free trial ;) ) so you can find out if that host suitable for you.

IMHO you will needed an VPS for handling your traffic, esp. if your site is not static.
