I'm looking to purchase a dn, but I am wondering if there is a difference/significance between dn words that are singular OR plural? For example: www.word.com VS www.words.com Luckily I have the singular and plural of the dn available, so I may end up purchasing both. I know many are thinking 'then why the heck are you asking the question?' but I just am curious Thanks all.
the best think to do is search the keywords on google and see which one has more on exact search and go with that one. The answer will vary depending on the dn
Thanks, I assumed it would be based on the strength of keywords... but just wasn't sure. What I'm trying to get at is you see the sites as myspace, facebook, dp, not myspaces or facebooks, digitalpoints, etc. Hope that helps maybe bring in some more advice and suggestions.
It really depends on the name. Generally the singular is worth more but in some cases where the plural makes more sense like Cars.com, etc. that is better IMO
Me also suggesting for to exact name. its easy to type and remember also will be good to be mach with the trade mark.... Regarding SEO doesn't care much about domain name, consider the quality, niche, bl ranking etc....
Well it all depends on the meaning of the word, the traffic that the word may bring, the conjunction on a phrase and in your brand, if you have one.
use the adwords keyword too to to see what is more typed in search engines. example people type shampoo instead of shampoos in google also people type songs instead of song in google so the "s" depends in the keywords ok
Honestly, you just have to observe the domain in the eyes of the customer and see which one is more sticky, plural or singular.
Wow, thanks for the numerous responses and suggestions! I'm definitely going to purchase both the singular and plural, and do as n3o suggested (redirect the plural to sing. dn) Again, this was all in curiousity, since I don't plan on flipping the site, sell the dn, etc... but I was just wanting to expand on my dn knowledge haha. Thanks again everyone, and if you still have more input please do share, I appreciate it!
