Both are good it just depends on what kind of site you want. Wordpress is probably easier to use...

Wordpress is light and easy to use unlike jhoomla which is heavy and you need some time to get used to it. Also it's not as SEO friendly as WP.

It really depends on your needs. If it is a small website , I say you should use wordpress.

If you are looking for a small Blog or small informative website ,then go for Wordpress.
If you are good at coding languages, then go for Joomla.
    We use only Joomla..

I prefer wordpress for smaller sites but for more complicated bigger sites I'd go with joomla.

I hear joomla is better if u want a forum or membership type features also shopping cart.
However, its more of a learning curve compared WP which rocks by the way.

If depends what sort of site you want to make. Both of them are very good. Joomla has a sharper learning curve, but is probably more flexible. WordPress is more straightforward to use and you can get up and going very quickly.

You need to look at the features of each and see which one will suit your needs the best.

lol have you used joomla before??

Joomla is without a doubt the best CMS around, Wordpress is not what you can call a CMS in my opinion and cant be compared with joomla.

Joomla is infinitely easier if you learn it. I mean everyone cannot use joomla the first time you see it like wordpress, it takes time to learn all the categories ,section, module manager but then you will know what it means to be using joomla.

Drupal is also very good, but doesnt have the luxuries like Joomla may be a stripped down version of joomla but very effective indeed. these two beat wordpress anyday.

I have blogs in wordpress and websites in joomla.

We mainly use MODx. It's fast with strong SEO built-in. http://modxcms.com/

On some some sites we do use wordpress and these tend to be smaller sites.

The disaster that is Joomla is not even worth considering IMO. It's a dinosaur. A dinosaur with a lot of plugins admittedly.
