Maintaining and running a Forum is much difficult as compare to managing a blog. Also blogs can be good source for getting traffic for your main site and you can put adsense on them and can earn good revenue if you have heavy traffic ;)

    Forums have low CTR.

Blogs are easily manageable. You can easily add content. So I think, blog is the best option.

You will defiantely make more money with blogs. See, the cool think about blogs is that you can update them frequently, plus, people like blogs period. They are more fun to read, especially if you come up with a cool design. You have to get participants to sign up for your forum in order for you to start getting any money. With blogging, the sky is the limit. Trust me :)

CPA networks coz if you manage to get a lead you'll earn more than the adsense click.
Go for forum coz it fun and it easy to manage coz there 2 way communication and it really easy to promote.

I personally think that blogs are best because people are very comfortable using them. They don't mind taking the time to explore them. Reading them doesn't seem like a chore or a hard sell. i think people like commenting on them, and appreciate the positive effects that a backlink can bring them.

Depends on how you market your products. Forums would be a good source for CPA leads =D

Im pretty new to all of this stuff, but Im not by any means new to the net.... I find blogs boring and lacking the community atmosphere...

The community in a forum cant be beat if you dedicate some time building the site, if you have your niche and gear your ads toward the demographics of your forum I dont think it can be all that bad. People wont click on something unless they either need the service or are interested in what it offers.

Either way, have fun with what you do and try to build a fun informative site that people will want to come back to.

Repeated traffic and referal traffic cant be beat.

I would go with niche blogs. As far as ads go, they get better ctr when your traffic is from search engines.

Well, if you can write some good quality articles, blog is the best way for sure!
But if you can't, forums maybe more suitable for you.
However, the member quality, or the post quality is one of the important factors to go success on a forum and you cannot control that!
So, think about your ability first.

A neatly designed static website combined with a forum can bring in the choices for you, but in my personal experience of running few sites, the static sites earn more than forums due to the advertisement placement difficulties.

I'm running a static and a blog right now. I have the idea to run a forum, but I gave up for the too much work. Think about how much time you can offer.
