Which is better iPhone or iTouch?

Are they almost the same? With one having the phone feature?

Is used iPhone for $400 better than a new iPod Touch?

    iPhone is much better
the iPod touch is WiFi only it is quite limited in its use, even with the new feature set(which are not free BTW, unless you are buying a new one since keynote). Whereas with an activated iPhone you can use them wherever you have cell phone signal, not just WiFi.

One must also remember that it costs an arm and a leg to actually go on the internet using a cell phone signal. Either way, both are overpriced. You can get a low-end laptop for that price right now. You can probably even get a couple of used OLPCs.

It depends where you live, my ISP allows me free WiFi connection anywhere where a hotspot is available, as you can also connect for free in hotels, hospitals and more.

I prefer iTouch because it's so slim that matches perfectly in size with my BenQ P51 within my handy dayrunner briefcase.

What do I need another (i)phone for?

The big difference here is that one fits in your pocket and the other doesn't. ;)

I bought an iPod Touch on the day they were released here in Australia. I sold it a month later and bought an iPhone from the states. For $100 more I don't see why people debate between the two -- just unlock it, buy a prepaid SIM and you're on your way to looking really, really cool. :p

Duh? iphone and itouch are both apple made.

And iphone is better because you have a phone feature while itouch doesn't.
