I want to know your opinion. Yes, I know higher traffic keywords bring in more traffic, but they have more competition (which makes it hard to successfully market your site). Also, their rankings are constantly being updated- making it hard to keep your site popular. On the other hand, lower traffic keywords do not have as much competition, making it easy to get great rankings and start getting a steady stream of visitors. Also, their rankings are not updated as much, allowing your site to be more stable. So, which one is worth it in the end? P.S.- By low I mean a few thousand each year, high I mean several thousand plus.
The lower traffic will help you get a good conversion rate. Higher traffic will provide a constant flow of visitators
Important factor is how much time and effort you are able to put in for seo. The more backlinks you are able to generate the better the ranking would be for keywords. So it is not actually about good keywords or less competitive keywords, if you have the time and resources, then you will put them to get the high competition keywords instead of working on smaller ones.
I would say it depends on the relevance of a keyword. Its worth looking at the keyword demographics to see which you feel best fit your target audience.
high visitors but view also some factors like CPC, less compition and also check there is no big websites in google.
also think about big websites entering the game later. Take zazzle.com for instance. They crushed all the little t-shirt sites almost overnight. $$$ buys rank.
In the end main keyword (high traffic keyword) is more valuable than long tail keyword but more hard to achieve, you can combine both for best result or focus in one will also better than nothing.
High traffic means everything Just imagine what you can play with it, the revenue type, kind, models, etc
