Which is better in terms of SEO- Subdomain or Folder?

If you have a domain/ site and you want to add a forum, which is better in terms of SEO?
-Subdomain (for eg. www.forums.domain.com )
OR
-Folder (for eg. www.domain.com/forums)

Honestly? It depends on the site. Do you want the forum to be part of the site, with its contents being part and parcel of the main site, or do you want a separate section of the with its own structure?

Never let SEO dictate whether or not you go with a subdomain or directory.

 

I think Subdomain is good for search enginer!
