Which is better? Google PR or the Alexa Rank?

Damn , people now start to prefer Alexa... like in good old times... lol

 

I would rather have a higher PR.

 

I think Alexa is better compared to Google PR. With Alexa Ranking, we can take rough estimates about the popularity and traffic of a website. And PR is not any way related to the popularity or traffic of a website. A site with Good RP of 4-5 may not be getting even 5-10 visitors in day and on the other hand a website with zero PR may be getting thousands of visitors per day.

 

I like them both, a bit more prefer Google PR

"PageRank is a representation of the amount of links pointing to a website, nothing else."...What? Where have you been? Pagerank is a lot more then just inlinks. I have a site that is a pr 5 with barely any links. It's content and structure baby!

 

I read G and alexa both.
they are very different things.

 

I will focus on PR than Alexa ranking.

 

for me both. I mix kind of that.

 

I can't saya which one is better because I use google page rank and alexa rank for paid review and sell links.

 

a combination of the two would help you find good sites....

 

I think Alx is more standard than GG but it show the delay update.

 

I knew people would make silly comments about toolbars.

alexa ( which measures traffic ) and google rank ( which measures how google measures importance )

In my opinion, none is good. I don't think PR should be given much importance these days, its basically just some green thingy on the toolbar. And as for alexa, honestly, it never shows me accurate results.

You should better start focusing more on the SERPs instead.

Neither matter at all. Alexa is biased towards webmasters and Google are obfuscating their page ranks at the moment so the PR displayed for your site may not be the true PR. All that matters are your own weblogs. If you're getting more traffic each month then you're doing something right and it doesn't matter at all what Alexa rank or page rank you have. More traffic = more money. It's that simple.

 

2 things came to my mind

1. You are comparing apples with oranges.
2. You are trying to find the best among the worst.

 

I think Google PR is the best because it is wide known to people and webmasters than Alexa rank.

 

Right now their are so many top blogs which were penalized and have low pr , so everyone will go for good alexa .
