There loadsa submissions services claim that they will submit your website to 10000 directories etc. But the question is, is it worth it? Since I have no good knowledge about SEO, still studying, Which is better? More free backlinks or More QUALITY backlinks?
It's ok to focus on quantity and quality but if you had to choose quality is more important than quantity. You should be cautious of those directory submission companies many of those companies will submit your site to low quality directories which will not help you very much. You should consider building backlinks through article submission it's inexpensive and you will see results if you are consistent with it.
I will give you my own example here I am a weblog owner, just one weblog, about writing, the link you can find below in the siganature, cutewriting. It is a blog that ranks on the first page of google for the search term I optimized it for, good writing, average search volume and above average competition. And the site is only about 2 months old, a little over 2 months. And still it is PR1, though not yet listed in the hyped Dmoz. What made me achieve this is in "Success Mantra, a post I have in the blog. All I did was solicit good quality one way backlinks from niche blogs and only about 30 of them put me in that status. That's the way and the only way. It's good to know how to solicit links, you should be very polite in that. then you will succeed so many great webmasters are out there. Lenin
Some of the links I got are Pr4, pr5 and pr6. very few pr0 or pr1 links, thats wy i am pr1 so early. so I say, its far far better than having 1000000 pr0 directory links, jsut add to a few top directories, like about a hundred and do genuine link building, that's it.
I have done this sort of experiment on few of my blogs, what i conclude at the end of the days, its not the no link, its quality of links. So its better to for quality links instead of no of links.
