search engine bot accepts subdomains like a new domain. if u use html pages (or folder) spiders can crawl your pages easily.

 

use the subdomain style. Why? use a subdomain, which can be register as an own domain, when it gets enough traffic --> new website.

If you think your keyword warrants a subdomain (basically a whole website about it) then go that route, if not then http:// www. Xyz .com / 123456 / is the route I would take.

In terms of SEO neither will be given preference, but the sub domain route will give you more work to do as it will be considered a whole new site of its own so therefore it will need a link development strategy of it's own also.

The advantage of the sub domain route is that you will be able to attain multiple directory listings

 

Keywords in url have very little impact on rankings. I'd spend more time on building fresh contents and backlinks. If I have to choose, I'd go with the subdomain option. Subdomain and the main domain can help promoting each other by linking to each other.

 

I would create a new page with your keyword and add the link to your inner pages & homepage.

http:// www. Xyz .com / 123456.html is by far the best choice. I think it is rediculous to say that the url has little effect on search engine rankings. It alone it might, but combined with the title, H1s, anchor text etc. it gives you that extra boost and can be powerful.

 

I'd recommend:

http:// www.Xyz.com/keyword/related-keyword.html

If the keyword you are optimizing for is related to others, then silo those under a more prominent keyword to give relevance to both.

Creating sub domain is good but when you will get some new products or pages you have to again use same directory so I think creating and .html page like (.)xyz(.com)/123456.html is good for SEO
