I am currently making a website, and I am wondering what the better route to take is when creating a cheat site. Should I make it totally from scratch or incorporate a cheat database script of some kind? If you think I should use a script, can you name a good one to use? I do not mind shelling out some cash for a good script so you don't have to only mention free ones. Let me know your thoughts! Thanks!
Nobody has any ideas on this? I found some decent scripts, but am still wondering if that is the best route to take. I just want to make sure my page gets the maximum amount of traffic...
A script will probably get you started quicker than doing everything yourself. However, why would someone come to your site if the same cheats (and possibly more) are on another site? Websites of this genre have high competition so you need to offer something unique, whether it be great new cheats, an awesome layout, or some other added extra. If you want to do it yourself from scratch I suggest you focus on one console. Xbox 360 for example. Once you get a decent following, and get up to scratch, expand your website to cater for other consoles. See if you can get some staff onboard to join in and just get better and better over time If you try to take up too much at once you will become stressed and lose interest.
Thanks for the advice! It really makes sense. I guess that is what made me post in the first place. I was doing everything from scratch and became overwhelmed by the creation of 1000's of pages for 50 or so consoles. I was already getting burned out after creating 20 pages. I think i will start with one console as you said and work with it from there.
