I'm wanting to register a domain with my first and middle name. Unfortunately, the .com is already taken. I'm considering getting it with a hyphen or .net instead. Which would be best? For example: janetmarrianne.net or janet-marrianne.com Thanks for your advice!
It depends on it's use. If it's commercial I'd go with a single hyphen over a .net If it's for personal use I'd probably go with the .net
Get both... If you can't, take the shorter version of .com. For example, instead of janet-marrianne.com, take jmarrianne.com That's what I'd do if I were you
If you can get both then take them, otherwise I would recommend going for the version without a hyphen. Hyphens tend to scare away customers, and make your site less credible in my opinion.
