I think you can better use .COM, its commercial.

I got .com and .info. My online webdirectory got .info and you can find it at google, very good.

Of course .com is better. Always go for .com if it's still available.

i prefer dot com domain and you might register .com for a long term business although the register fee of .info is .99$ only.

    Always go for .com.
.info is not a problem SEO wise, but it's harder to remember (because it is not widely known) and its value is significantly less (which won't really matter since it's not for resale purposes).

i have two criterias for the domain

    * SEO : there is no difference between a com domain and an info domain for seo

    * end users : i think people will remember a com domain but it will be difficult to remember an info domain for people

shortly , com domain allways rocks:D

Take the both .com and .info and redirect the .info to .com but .com is tops overall.

The problem is both aren't always available. Sometimes only .ifo is available.

    Thanks,

What if you like yourdomain.com but already taken and only availability is on .info? Is the owner of yourdomain.com can throw charges on you when you register yourdomain.info? Thanks guys for the help.

They can only file suit if its a trademark name. Take Microsoft.com for example, if someone else owns the domain name Microsoft.info then they have to give it up. Its trademarked. All common names are open.

Do they own the rights to the name? If so they might, not worth the hassle IMO.
