It depends on what you mean by better. If you are Indian, it be better to work with an Indian provider because you can get local support so CCAvenue would be up for the job besides they can accept Indian Debit Cards and payments can be transferred directly to your Indian Bank Account.

Worldpay is a Scottish company but being part of the Royal Bank of Scotland, that would add credibility to it. They are however widely used.

CCAvenue should be cheaper. Worldpay is mainly used by the big boys in the industry. Reputation-wise, between these two choices, Worldpay would be on top.

As eddy said, its better to get from Indian POrovbider.

OR you may try Xoom as they have almost 100% positive reviews.

Yes, there are of course initial fees you need to pay. CCAvenue is quite clear cut as it is listed on their website in rupees while WorldPay rates depends on your sales volume and all that.

    CCAvenue pricing are at http://www.ccavenue.com/content/pricing.jsp

It depends on what you are selling, you could opt for 3rd party processors such as 2checkout.com , kagi.com , plimus.com , swreg.org and ccbill.com . They typically may have a higher transaction fees but they do not charge monthly fixed fees and only 2checkout requires you to pay a small token setup fees.
