You are getting confused. You would get your own web hosting and install Wordpress. This gives you the freedom to do anything you like with Wordpress. Your host, your rules.
wp is better than blogspot If you're a newbie I think sould start with blogspot But when you have earning, I think you sould buy a hosting and use wordpress platform WP is good for SEO, easy custom template, support by people all the world And I'm sure: Bid (of adsense) in WP is higher than blogspot ( same content)

Correct. A lot of goofballs around here are confusing the different platforms of WP or at least not making the clarification when they do comment. Since the OP asked specifically about the FREE versions and not self-hosted WP, people need to keep that in mind before they start spouting off about the self-hosted WP.
Wordpress is way better than blogger. blogspot is from the house of google, i think thats why google give it better rankings. Wordpress is very strong CMS

With wp you can have your own domain, I prefer wp. Also wp is developed by world top php mysql coder , programmer , open source communities. I trust them.
