Which is better, 1 dofollow backlink or 1,000 nofollow backlink?

    If the quality of the site is same, 1000 nofollow is definately help much on the SERP compare to 1 dofollow
    However, if you are aiming on PR, then 1 dofollow link is helping more than 1000 nofollow link because nofollow link never pass the PR juice, only dofollow link will pass the PR juice

    Well said, nofollow backlinks are in no way invisible to google, just having dofollow backlinks is just not normal.

    Get a 1000 nofollow backlinks and 1 dofollow backlink from a high pr page. This is the best I think. :)

    Completely depends on where you are getting your No-Follow backlink from ... if its a high value site then it is still preferred over 1000 nil value links.

    I would go for the 1,000 nofollow backlink, because the search engines do give some relevance to nofollow backlinks, just not as much as a dofollow

    Nofollow links works same as dofollow, just do quality links, not from footer of sidebar etc.

    1000 are way more than just a do follow. May be some of those 1000 got relevant to other do follow sites which are more useful for our site indirectly.
