Which is best?

I want to develop a classified ads site.
Which will be a suitable platform for such website..
CMS, PHP, Wordpress, drupal... or other...

 

I think wordpress is the best. It has several plugins and best of all, it is very easy to upgrade.

 

Joomla might work better for a classified site as I think it has got a lot of premade addons for the same. Wordpress is also good but you might need premium plugins or themes if you are willing to do so.

 

If you have big plans with memberships, forums, you want your own store and the like, choose Joomla. If you just want a classified site Wordpress probably has a plugin for that.

To be more general, if you have big plans, use Joomla. If you have smaller plans, use Wordpress. Good luck.

If you want to launch website instantly with in a day or two than wordpress is the best platform for you. There are so many wordpress templates available on the net for classifieds websites , you can choose one of them and launch your website in No time.

 

Wordpress is good. Infact the Classipress theme is one good theme as well. It is a paid theme but worth the few dollars.

 

I use both Joomla and Wordpess, I recommend you to use Joomla for develop a classified site

For Wordpress there are 2 great plugins for that purpose:

Both these are paid theme. Is there any which is free..?

Both wordpress and joomla is good to start for classified site. If you are good programmer, you can also write one in PHP!

 

i own classifieds websites that are running on wordpress and are running perfectly fine - and in my experience, wordpress is best - as Joomla is still very bulky for the server.
