Many people say wordpress but I still think blogger is the best. Your post gets indexed in seconds and you can do whatever with your html!
But I suggest you to go with what you like and think is the best, don't listen to others. Both are good

if you are a basic user and need to finish it soon go for blogspot.
And if want to make your hand dirty to do professional output use wordpress
