    Although a paid hosting+cool domain can give you more money and serious look.

    Without a doubt blogger is better if you are using the free blogs. If you are hosting your own blog, nothing beats Wordpress. I prefer hosting my own now but I got started in blogging on blogger and have four very good blogs that have made me some money and have descent PR.

    that's pretty cool. So usually most of them prefer blogspot to wordpress may be the better google seo enables more users attracted to blogspot than the others

    Google accepts new posts almost instantaneously.

    A lot of good easy to use features.

    And i have a few powerful blogspot blogs.

    Google owns Blogspot. That may or may not matter to you depending on what you are doing with your blog and what your goals are. If you care about PageRank, and you want to take out no-follow tags, and you are writing sponsored posts, I would stay away from Blogspot for all the obvious reasons. I have five Blogspot blogs and I am migrating two of them to Wordpress and going to keep the other three on Blogspot. Wordpress, BTW, is AWESOME, however yes, you do have to have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS to really utilize it to it's fullest potential ... good luck!

    I found that Wordpress blogs often rank better than blogspot blogs, if everything is the same. The main benefit i see is quick indexing time. Which really is over rated most of the time.

    For completely unsavvy users Blogger is probably best but for anyone with a general knowledge of things I would recommend WordPress.
