For black and white purpose any HP laser jet printers are good and faster than Inkjet. In Quality wise HP inkjet printer are very good. And make sure to have a printing from both printers to have a quality look and performance before you buy from any of them.

True. I'm also suggest for HP's laser printer. I'm using this laser printer since last 2 year, it is little bit costly but you never get any kind of interrupts and bad quality from it. Try to checkout this printer for your better use.

Laser is good for high speed....

 

Laser printers are fast, for the ink/toner, you can try asking for replacement toner
instead of original, they are cheaper.
But just the same, inkjets are cheaper but slower.

Laser printer is for heavy load, that's mean printing a lot .. but for color laser, its probably going to be costy

 

It used to be that only big companies used laser printers for two reasons:first they were very expensive and secondly they had large volumes of print jobs and the cartridges were more cost effective for them. Inkjet printers are generally used only for home users or small companies becuase of the low volume of printing neded. The main difference is the cost of replacing the cartridges - Laser is more expensive but you get more for your money. Nowadays Laser printers have come down in price that they are more cost effective for the home user too. If you have the money and you plan to print a lot I would say a Laser Printer was the most cost effective for you.
