    sud-domains are treated as individual domains on google - so i would suggest using it as gotham.com/electrian/

    Don't use sub-domains, Google got onto this trick around 6 billion years ago and it's of no use to you anyway with this kind of website. Stick to your usual URL structure.

    Looks like it's almost unanimous, sitename/jobtype. is definitely the best choice. Make sure you get the whole keyword phrase you are targeting in there.
