    I would say wordpress just because it is easier to use and manage. They both have the same capabilities so it is a personal preference.

    As far I know Joomla was invented for CMS purpose, not for blog. Hence the blogging should go with Wordpress or Blogger(as blogger gets some Google Advantage).

    However I love wordpress in the sense that It offers you the opportunities for a wide customization.I love blogger than wordpress but sometimes I hate blogger when they delete your high page rank blog without any prior notice by their so called antispam bots although you are innocent.

    Wordpress and Joomla is a two different platforms. Wordpress is a blogging platform, Joomla is a real content management system. Mostly many business websites created through using joomla. It's purely depends on your requirement. I will suggest to use wordpress for blogging and joomla for business websites.

    WP today is not just a blogging platform as it has transformed to a cms/blog platform especially with its enhancement from the last few versions. It's ease of use is what makes it a preference to most.

    I used both joomla and wordpress but for different purposes again, it's a matter of preference and comfort level.
    I started joomla as I was attracted by the sophisticated look of the themes at the time. It took some time to get use to Joomla but now I am used to it. However, it was a joy using wordpress. The one I still not so used to is Drupal and yet it's also a good platform.

    Yes, it depends on individual preference.

    WordPress for sure, as it is, at its core, a blogging platform.
    Even though it can be extended into a CMS like Joomla, it is a blogging platform.

    WordPress is surely the best for blogs as it was born for it. But WordPress has plugins only, Joomla has components and extensions (plugins and modules). So Joomla is more suitable for heavier function sites.

    Some people are saying WordPress is better than WordPress for managing a website. I could not agree at all. If you are familiar with Joomla and have worked with it for a decent while, Im sure you will feel that Joomla is much much powerful and more serious than WordPress. Under many functional development situations, WordPress looks like a joke. Because WordPress only has plugins and the quality of these things are just not that good.

    I totally agree with you. WordPress just probably the best for blogging purpose but Joomla is better for other else purpose including business one. I was looking for platform for rather business website so I will interest in Joomla then.
