    Hello all.
Currently I have worked only on wordpress and I have heard there are many other Blogging softwares with some extra features. Can you name some of them along with their extra features and prices.
If I want my blog to have a website like look, Which CMS will be best?
Are free plugins and addons available for those CMS ?

Movable type is one of the powerful and popular weblog platform. Used by many big business. Read more information on movable type here
B2evolution is also another powerful platform.

Flip side is now must theme options and widget options like WP. But they are powerful.

There are 1000's of WP themes out there, and tons of designers.
For the most part, you have to get away from the free themes and start working with premium themes if you want more dynamic options and static looking themes.

There aren't really many limitations to what you can do with WP except for your own budget , imagination and editing and design skills.

I too am tired of the traditional looking blog themes with the bog header, blog posts on the first page, and a sidebar or two...it has gotten very boring and I stay away from those anymore.
You really have to think of a pre designed theme as a blank canvas...you can customize them how ever you want.

If you are looking for a free theme, more than likely, you won't find one. However, you can always customize the theme or code one yourself and just replace it with WordPress's codes.

WordPress is extremely flexible if you can work with it. I've personally used WordPress as a CMS for a huge site, bridged it with a forum software, and pretty much made a community that thought it wasn't a blog.

ZeldaUniverse.net (not my site) is a website that is WordPress powered. I'm sure there are many others that don't resemble a blog at all, but is powered by WordPress.

My guess is that any CMS will do the job. It seems however that WP is gaining most of the market, and I think you should stay with it (unless you have an e-commerce part in your website since WP has still no good plugin for that - please don't feed the troll, this is just what I think, and I am using WP).

That's a big question with a lot of answers. There are literally thousands of themes out there, and no way for us to know what your needs and wants are. Or your tastes for that matter.

Do a search for "Premium Word Press themes" and you will come up with many theme designers and designs. Take your pick, and look around. A lot of people use Wordpress here, just check sigs.
Everything in my sig is Wordpress.

If you want wordpress themes look like not a blog, try to edit the HTML. You have to customize it.

I really have to vote for wordpress. I've seen (and built) wordpress themes that make the blog look nothing like a blog at all but a standard website. This combined with the tons of themes and plugins available, why would anyone ever want to switch?

Also, if I make a blog post on a wordpress blog and do a google search for the exact title of the post (assuming it's not something short and popular) it will appear in the top ten results.
