Hello, my domain.com is using nameservers of my otherdomain.com ns1.otherdomain.com ns2.otherdomain.com and https://ip6.nl/#domain.com complained that: DNS servers IPv6: No AAAA records for any NS IPv6-only DNS: Doesn't work after i have setup new ns1 and ns2 AAAA records to the possibly Cloudflare dns IPv6: 2606:4700:4700::1001 2606:4700:4700::1111 It started showing these on ip6.nl yet it still says IPv6-only DNS does not work. domain.com hosting server provider says they does not have IPv6 for their server hostname. Though they assigned IPv6 to my site. Question: which DNS IPv6 should i set for my NSs? I assume the IP my hosting provider assigned to my site (for example x:x:x:x:x:x:0:30 not as it is not a gateway)? Is it good idea to leave it to mentioned IPv6 or should i rather remove these "DNS IPv6" records? When i do Linux command: $ host -6 domain.com ns1.otherdomain.com it shows that it is using the Cloudflare IPv6 above mentioned and shows IPv4+6 assigned to my hosting account. So that seems OK - resolving. Yet my questions and ip6.nl error "IPv6-only DNS: Doesn't work" remains. I am using rather exotic TLD .xyz and it is not listed among "Top Level Domains supporting IPv6 Glue" https://www.sixxs.net/faq/dns/?faq=ipv6glue unsure how big problem it is for the v6 connectivity.
Please note that Cloudflare public DNS IPs are not related to the DNS configurations on your domain’s DNS zone. If your host provider gives you an IPv6 which is assigned to the hosting server, you have to set them in your domain's DNS zone as the AAAA record. If you can fetch the mentioned record in DNS checker websites, it means the DNS records have been propagated on the domain. We suggest you to create a Cloudflare account and add the domain to your account. Cloudflare provides 2 name servers which you can set on your domain. After changing the name servers to Cloudflare name servers, you will be able to configure the DNS records in the domain's zone in the Cloudflare account.
Yes, mine used IPv6 nameservers was possibly incorrect choice since the top level domain registar reported a warning: so I have deleted these.
