According to this thread. SBI(state bank of india) allow mismatched/incorrect names: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/anyone-verify-paypal-account-with-state-bank-of-india.2234020/ He says: Few days later said Also here: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/anyone-verify-paypal-account-with-state-bank-of-india.2234020/ It was said: So if i verify my paypal with pan card, and I want to attach my friends bank as a second bank to my paypal account. And my name is "Robert Smith" and if the name on his indian bank is "John Brady" , and i tried to withdraw to his indian bank from paypal. Which banks would accept the deposit with completely wrong name i.e which bank doesnt care for name, only cares if Account number and NEFT is correct?
Paypal is not going to see name. They will send two small amounts , your have to enter that amount in your paypal account and if it correct you account will be verified. You did not need to anything else.
I dont want bank to reject deposit from paypal Which INDIAN bank will accept deposit even if name is completely different?
No bank will accept if names are completely different .. but almost all banks will accept if there is slight difference in name like "Web Dev" instead of "Dev" etc. .
You can do one think, open a current account with name written on cheque and then deposit money into it.
But in the first thread I mentioned. Some guy said he used SBI and used different name and still got 2 deposits from ebay. Can anyone confirm if SBI allows paypal deposit even if paypal name is wrong Also can you tell me did you try to withdraw to a bank with different name
What does this guy mean: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/plz-help-paypal-withdrawl-issue.1131727/page-3 So does it mean I can have different name on paypal and compeltely different bank name and withdraw it so long as account number and NEFT is correct? But I need to tell bank about this
From the reserve bank of india 2010: http://rbi.org.in/scripts/NotificationUser.aspx?Id=6043&Mode=0 So which banks dont care for name and dont use name matching software? Also here there are more than 3 people stating they wanted to send money to their family member but typed bank account number wrong but ICICI still deposited the money to wrong bank account of random person even though name obviously didnt match. ICICI then told them the money was credited to incorrect bank because they dont care for name of IFSC code. They only care for account number http://forum.indiaconsumercomplaints.com/Thread-NEFT-Money-by-Mistake-Credited-to-Another-Account#.UxjBBfnV_aQ
