Notepad ++ but I've programmed in HTML before so you may be looking for a visual web editor, correct?

Frontpage when I had XP. Then used Sharepoint with Vista. Didn't like it and now I'm back to Frontpage

XsitePro is awesome if you don't have any coding experience.

I use Dreamweaver CS3, have been using DW for the longest time, I use to code by hand in notepad++ but it just takes forever... especially building member sites and what not, and more complicated websites that I do.

I try to stick away with using FrontPage, their coding sometimes isn't compatible with some browsers, and they like to use proprietary codes.

Notepad ++ is perfect for the ones which are not begginers. For begginers i recomand Macromedia .

I'm a cheapo, so I use NVU. It's a decent HTML editor seeing as how it's free and all. I have Windows Vista and I have no idea where to find Notepad on it. LoL

What's HTML? Is that like some new uber interweb stuff to impress newbs with? It sounds like an italian impersonation, or a polish womens name when you say it fast.. . ... heeey eshteeyemelll... .. ...

I go now, DW << Who can ask for anything more? All in one from simple to complex/dynamic/db/blahblah - all in one. Front page is just as easy - the basics are easy in both if you are starting out.

Dreamweaver all the way for me. I just love this program. Making templates, landing pages, and even much more complex things is really easy with it.

I have been using 1stPage 2000 for quite some years now and never looked back.
It's perfect if you know how to code html (and it's 100% free)

You can find it here: http://www.evrsoft.com/

CoffeeCup and Notepad (my best friend)... I have no problem coding.

But I've been thinking of getting DW for the longest time, however the price scares me (yeah, I think if you use a tool professionally you should be using a paid version, not a crack. But enough of my sanctimonious ethics).

How's the final output of DW? Do you have to tweak a lot of garbage out of the code?
