I use godaddy for one site. And a small, unknown company for one site. Dreamhost for most of my sites.
I use homestead, the worst hosting company on the net. I purchased a website from a guy who uses homestead about a year ago, and homestead STILL hasn't transferred my website to me yet despite me and him calling them about it.
I use www.streamline.net (UK). It has good support and I have unlimited webspace and bandwidth and all the extras like mySQl ect.
All this talk about A Small Orange (that I never heard of) and I go to get some hosting and I get. Due a large number of sign ups today, orders have been automatically disabled for the day. This limit is to ensure we continue to have adequate capacity for the customers we take on and to prevent fraud. The system will allow orders to resume automatically starting tomorrow. Please check back at that time to place your order.
I believe ASO has had a policy on capping daily signups for shared hosting for quite awhile. Personally I don't have a problem with it. I'd rather use a company that is willing to avoid crunch problems versus just raking in every penny they can get. I scan a lot of web boards for hosting reviews and they continue to have one of the best reps around. I have several clients on ASO.
I am not saying they are bad, just saying I have to wait until tomorrow to try to get in. I would really like to try them after all the good praises I read in this thread.
since I've started the thread I've openned few accounts at ASO and hostgator and also few other companies. I think I also have few hosting accounts I've paid for and forgot about..
I use HostingRevolution.com for 4 years. Hey at $20 (TWENTY DOLLARS) a year. YES! a year ... you get everything with 100MB space. Not bad.
