which host to select

    I wanto build a site about seo tool.
    example:input url,it will show
    PR
    Alexa
    google&yahoo indexd and backlinks
    google Cached
    site outbound.
    about site's link exchange's keyword
    ...etc
    I wish site rate is not slow.

    which host to select for me?

    would go for shared for a start, then later move on to a vps if you get many visitors with many queries

    But make sure your Shared hosting lets you execute scripts and run CURL / other functions that you would use to get data from other places for your site. Test and review hosts before you invest!!!

    You should define your main criteria concerning the host, then plan your space & bandwidth requirements carefully (calculate double to be on the safe side) now and in the future and how much flexibility you want to go from here to there (i.e. would you want to buy additional GBs or switch to VPS if need be).
    If price is your major concern remember that you pay for what you get (when you're lucky) and that overselling is an extremely ugly beast sometimes.
