How youtube host so much video?How much space do they have?If i wanna start a video sharing site which host will be a good option.I have found highesh space is given by Globat.com 1000gb.And bluehost and hostmonster 600gb. Whats your suggestion?
and it's guaranteed that those shared servers are oversold. I'm surprised they would actually let a youtube type site on their server.
I recommend you look into a dedicated server instead of shared hosting for that type of site. RackSpace, Lunarpages, ServerBeach, and HostGator to name a few good ones.
I think that you should go in for some dedicated servers with nice configurations and RAM. Youtube has datacenters to handle millions of videos.
Hm i am also thinking so. I have to go for dedicated server. I saw whois of metacafe . They are using rackspace.
But why dedicated server is so much important? I know i am getting own server. But what happens when i share my server i mean shared hosting? There are lot of space in cheap for shared hosting. I don't understand much thats why asking.
Because some of the requirements in running a video script is not always available in a shared hosting.
