    Hi

I am thinking to apply for a NEW account in HDFC bank after reading experiences of you people with HDFC and ICICI.

    I had couple of queries.

    - Which credit card will I need. Their are plenty in their list like:silver, gold, titanium, platinum plus, VISA signature, World master card and sooo many others..

    CHECK THE LIST HERE

which one will I need for PP verification?

And as I am about to open a new account so how much time before they issue a CC for me (considering I don't have any fixed monthly salary except my online freelancing income)!

    Thanks

    Apply HDFC silver credit card.
They have a student section too. So contact the branch. As per I know they gave student CC in return of 10k INR Fixed deposit.

I am using HDFC silver credit card since more then 2 years now so if you don't want higher credit limit (just for paypal verification and little use) then go with it or else go with gold credit card for higher limit. Both works good for PP verification.

They demand some documents before issue cc to you so check with them. Don't know which documents they require now a days for this.

    DON.

Well you can use HDFC Patinum Plus which solve your all problems. I started with HDFC silver credit card but all my cards automatically updated after my confirmation and I have HDFC Patinum Plus card now. I am Classic Customer of HDFC which gives lot's features then regular account.

first you dont need to have a account at the bank to get a credit card.... I have a account in SBI and i have SBI credit card.... and i used my SBI credit card on my paypal... but also i got HDFC credit card... but i dont have a account at HDFC bank at all... so why deposit Rs. 5000 at HDFC to open a account when you can get a credit card without a HDFC bank account...... however you will need to have a bank account with good transactions.... i got my SBI card after they check my SBI account....

if you will go for SBI credit card then you will need SBI International Card with VISA logo... SBI International card can be used anywhere outside India and anywhere online.... i have verified my PayPal using my SBI card...

and on the link you have provided, i dont see the VISA card i have from HDFC.... the one that i have from HDFC is not listed on that website you have provided... so i will really suggest you to go for SBI card and you can apply online also... just goto www.SBICard.com and apply online.... also i want to tell you one thing.... getting HDFC or ICICI card is little hard.. but SBI cards are really easy to get as they dont check too much... but HDFC and ICICI will check everything and send inspector to your house to verify your address, business, work etc.etc.... and they can reject your application if they think you are not fit for there card.... but SBI dont check anything.... all you need is a account in any SBI bank and your account should have good transaction and money.... thats all you need for SBI card..... i got my sbi card 3 years ago.... not sure how they do now.... but i am sure its still the same....

about paying the bill for SBI card, you will see a cheque drop box for SBI card at every SBI bank.... i hope my info will be useful to you....
