There are many DC and they server different regions, so all of them have some importance. But i want to know which one is the most important, specially if you are looking at US traffic and clients. I checked my websites on many of them. On some of them, we are having zero pages in index, while on others there are around 120 pages in index. At some, the PR is zero on others it is 4. The mean PR is 2 (If we take average) Which DC you think is most important and serves results to US Thanks in advance for any inputs
I think there are different servers for different countrys. Correct me if im wrong. Im not sure what the US one is.
I do not know whether it is correct or not But I heard some where I think in a forbes articles that Google has 450,000 low cost servers running all around the world ?
i think google have different servers on different countries, and not sure which one is most important
The fact remains most Google employees don't know. Only the guys in charge of the data center know how many they have and since they have lot of data centers one would only know how many they have in that data center. My thinking is that they don't know the exact number. I have too many domain names, if some one asks me how many domains names I have, I just say between 350 and 400. (That is the best I could guess) But they know which one is the main one etc.
there are different servers for different countries, but i am saying that i am trying to figure out the one which serves most traffic to USA, this way one can check out if things are ok or not. I have seen that there is a difference in data between DC for a long long time. Say one DC is showing PR 2 and one showing PR 4 for more than 30 days now.
in the US there is more then one DC. they devided the US by regiouns (google story about American Blinds to check out what they have done a day before tiral). As to what DC is the most importent - well that depends on the country/regioun. for instance: I have a hebrew website, and Israel DC has a different algo for results than other DCs that gives more importance to hebrew websites. but in general - I don't think that that's somthing you can really control.
