Leaderboard just underneath your own banner. Even better if you incorprate your banner background around the leaderboard and blend the colours

I havent been getting any decent numbers for months and over the last week I finally started to see some decent traffic and click throughs... so I can only speak from a weeks worth of numbers really.

The leaderboard seems to be doing best for me at the moment (about 70% of adsense income).

Will be trying a few others to optimise even more over the next few days.

I've been testing this recently on www.placesun.co.uk and have found that a 468 banner high on the page and 728 leaderboard in the footer region brings the best CTR and they blend in quite well with the site.

from what i read, wide skyscraper is the best.

To me, the smaller the ad, the better. I myself get very suspicious about the website which prominently displays large AdSense banners. I begin questionning its credibility right away and get suspicious to where I click. To me, ads should be small and carry only a function to bring your visitor to another relevant website when he is ready to leave, not to trick him to leave prematurely, so to speak.

It simply makes all other format look bad...

Talking about ads format... there is no specific ads that giver me higher erevenues all are working almost same for me but let me give a scree shot.. here. these ads giving me much more CTR I ever had on any format thanks DP....
