Which generates more click, Ad unit or Link unit?

Care to advice me regarding the placement of my adsense?

I find that there is no single rule. I have one site which is highly visual and there is really no menu navigation on the site. It's a bunch of game icons really. I put up a link block that looks a bit like a menu and it's been a gold mine. Well, a very small gold mine. But still, a gusher.

I have other sites where the links have produced nothing. I find that on text rich sites where people are reading, they want the full text ad in front of them before they click.

The third type, the search ad, produces nothing for me me ever. But it's been a pain to make it look right on the site. Big wast'otime.

you shall use 468x60 banner placement above the posts subject

and you can use link units in sidebar but using it in the main page or post isnt going to benefit you much

 

Usually ad units has higher ctr because it only takes one click to count while for link units, it will need two clicks. In terms of placement, it looks ok to me.

 

It really depends on your placement.....try different placements and see which one works well for you. For me, they are performing differently on different sites.
