Hey guys, There are many freelancing sites out there. Which one do you use and which work for you? 1) Elance.com 2) Odesk.com 3) Designcrowd.com 4) Crowdspring.com 5) Guru.com 6) Freelancer.com 7) Ifreelance.com 8) 99designs.com Feel free to add more sites that works for you. * Exclude warrior forum.
I mainly use Odesk, Freelancer, and Fiverr for my job work. I hire people on these sites since I trust these sites most. And I tend to find some real cheap workers with amazing after job results from Odesk.
I have gotten most of my gigs on this site. I've also gotten a few jobs from DeviantArt, FGL, Fiverr, and other sources. I haven't applied for any of the big freelancing sites.
I've used elance for many years. I've generally had good results with both local and overseas hires. I highly recommend asking for total cost bids rather than hourly. Some of the $5/hr guys will literally take 10x as long to do a project. Fiverr.com is really great for quick hits. It's amazing what you can get for $5, and I've built up a couple of great business relationships there. Pay close attention to the turn-around times on projects if you need something quickly. For some, this is a very part time gig (understandable) and it can take weeks for them to get your project done.
Fiverr is starting to grow on me again. I think the choice of freelancing site kinda depends on the services you provide. E.g. Web Development - ODesk Design - Fiverr Writers - ODesk, Elanace e.g.
From a writer's perspective, I'm not on ODesk or Elance because of fees and writers outside of the U.S. charging incredibly substandard rates. Not that there aren't quality writers on there, but it's more the place to go if "cheap" is more important to you than "good". Constant Content is good if you want quality and are willing to pay more than "mill rates" to get it. People primarily post articles on spec there, but if you find articles in your niche/field that you like you can communicate directly with the author and request further work from them or develop a relationship outside of the site. If "cheap cheap cheap" is all you care about, it isn't the right place to go though.
I am using the Elance for content creation and Fiverr for link building. Skillpages is perfect for designing tasks as well.
I am using mainly freelancer, as they have a big database of workers in all the domains you will need.
I have success in Odesk and Seoclerks for the services i provide. Too many sites actually isn't manageable especially when your already having costumers.. 1 or 2 sites in freelancing should be enough to get solid projects.
There are lots of freelancing sites available but among all, I would like to recommend elance and odesk.
Personally Odesk is my favorite. Very user friendly interface and have found nothing but helpful people on there.
