    Well, i always used IPB and SMF, they seem the best for me.
    However vBulletin has better support, security and mods are easier to install.

    lol.. whatever, I strongly believe in what i mentioned. There were times when gaiaonline and/or other phpbb based communities grew, But NOW I doubt you will see a successfull forum based on free script, it really looks darn cheap.
