phpBB3 is the best open source forum software. This is a new version and is much more better than its previous version phpbb2.
i personaly used it and its best!

Mybb is free to use but not open source!!!

 

^^ It is open source.......the source code comes with it and you can edit it easily.

 

I could not really say because I haven't tried the other softwares. Still it doesn't keep me from saying for now SMF is the best! I couldn't wait to get my forum online and see how things work.

Really?? However you can't remove the copyright in footer

 

phpBB has my vote. If you want to pay then either IPB or vB.

 

You can't do that with phpBB or SMF either. (without paying).
